Should I get Health Insurance?

This is a question everyone has to ask. Is health insurance worth the cost for me? Many businesses require that you have health insurance and take the cost for you out of your pay, but would it be worth it to expand that to your family? If your family gets sick and goes to the doctor a lot and tends to take a lot of medicine then health insurance would probably be worth it for you. However, if you are the type that almost never gets sick and even when you do get sick most of the time you don't go to the doctor because it is just a minor cold and you don't take medicine for any other conditions and think you will never need to then health insurance probably would not be worth the cost for you because you would not save enough to make up for the monthly rate.

If you are going to get health insurance, you should get the highest maximum and lowest deductible you can afford to get the most out of your health insurance. Though a $1,000,000 maximum can seem outrageously high, one high speed head on collision can cost this much in bodily injury and most car insurance plans will only cover $100,000 a person. Leaving you to pay the rest if it was the other driver's fault and the other driver was uninsured, killed in the accident, and had no assets, then you cannot sue them to cover the cost. Look for a low deductible too so if you only have $200 a month in bills and you have a $200 monthly deducible your wasting you're money on health insurance because you're not saving anything with it unless you get into a major accident. Health Insurance Catches

There can be several catches when you sign up for a health care plan, so be sure to notice if you plan has them and whether or not you can work around them. Some plans will only cover certain doctors, dentists, etc that they chose called "preferred providers". Some plans will only cover certain brands of medicines. Most plans will not cover the bills for any problems you had before signing up with the plan such as: diabetes supplies if you already had it, asthma supplies if you already had asthma, etc. Some plans will not cover certain surgeries.
